Hip-Hop invades book world via new rap video for Willie Stewart’s ‘taRNished’

FROM examiner.com author Jerry Doby – Editor in chief of The Hype Magazine #1 digital magazine in the world.

In a unique marketing angle, author Willie L. Stewart’s healthcare thriller “taRNished,” spawned a novel rap video promotion which is a “first of its kind, never done before” concept in book marketing. “taRNished,” which releases worldwide on Mar. 1, 2014, attracted rapper Dru Vocals, following early reviews of the book and worked with the Stewart to create a unique piece of hip-hop history. Dispelling the stereotype that hip-hop doesn’t read, the collaborators feel the “taRNished” rap video speaks to a different aspect of the genre.

Highly acclaimed new author and critical care Registered Nurse Willie L. Stewart and his debut novel “taRNished” have captured healthcare’s newest diabolical mind and his name is Dale, a Registered Nurse serial killer. In a unique marketing angle, taRNished spawned a novel rap video promotion which is a FIRST OF IT’S KIND NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE book marketing moment for fans of author Willie Stewart who await the March 1, 2014 book release date and introduction to Dale, RN and his murderous mother Isabel.

Killing patients in the ICU became a thrill for Dale, RN until his equally prolific murdering mother started feeling threatened by his new girlfriend while working in the same hospital. Will mother’s love trump the new love in his life?

Based on an expanded reality resulting from new healthcare laws, “taRNished” explores the myriad levels of underlying issues which allow for pathological individuals to thrive and hide in the environment created by the soon to be even further overburdened healthcare system which our country so depends on.

“taRNished,’ could be set in any major city with an exploding population and an overtaxed hospital system manned by over tasked, exhausted and disgusted care providers. This novel is sure to entertain while shaking up the very foundation of healthcare and the public’s confidence in that system…will it spark debate…will it create panic? The jury is out, but early reviews indicate, “taRNished” could well be one of the most important book releases of 2014.

Early reviewers include Valerie Graves who served on the 1992 Clinton/Gore advertising team and is the former creative director at Nelson Communications, Inc., the health communications giant.

Ms. Graves says, “Wow! tarnished drew me right into the diabolical world of Dale and Isabel. They are two of the most coldblooded killers the medical profession may have ever produced.”

Patiently Waiting For You To Die

RIP

RIP

Let me start by making this statement of support.  Organ donation saves lives and the people in this industry provide valuable lifesaving services to those in dire need of transplants worldwide.  If donation is your thing and you are ever in my ICU at the end of your life you have my full support.

With that said, the process to get there creeps me out and I would never sign a card and would block any proposed donation of my loved ones organs due to what I have witnessed on the legal side of this industry as a critical care Registered Nurse of almost 14 years.  There are those that will say my opinion will taRNish the industry but I am entitled to my opinion based on first hand interactions.  I am certain that the organizations that handle harvesting have the best intentions and have an amazing track record but harvesting is creepy business.

It starts with you the patient.  Whether you have a donor card or not is irrelevant in my experience.  If you are a donor and just ONE family member objects legally, it can slow and even stop the entire process even if they are not a legal power of attorney.  What’s even more amazing is when they start watching you.  Every ICU I have ever worked in has criteria that mandates when we should call the official harvester for the state.  I call them that so as not to name any specific names.  If you meet the criteria, they start gathering information about you and your diagnoses, insurance, family contact, lab results, infectious diseases and more.  We are told not to talk to families about organ donation.  We are to leave that to the harvester who now knows all about you.

Now I will skip a whole section of what happens next because it is a subjective debate about the DNR (do not resuscitate).  It does not mean do not treat.  It means no heroic measures will be taken and merits it’s own article.  Let’s just say I have seen the whole gambit of scenarios and interpretations in almost 14 years and they vary as much as anything you can imagine.  However, the end result is at some point two MD’s will declare you dead and the harvester will already be in the hospital if your family has agreed.  You will be declared dead and then and only then they start taking heroic measures to keep your body alive while they start making phone calls to see who needs your organs.  If you have an infection, they probably can’t use anything except eye tissue.  What happens to you then?  I have heard stories that your body gets donated to medical schools or places of research.  With infections running rampant in hospitals that means a lot of you could end up not being candidates and just used for research or more.  Once the harvester has takers for all your organs that are viable, they take you to surgery and people with coolers stand at the ready to receive your body parts and rush them off to people who were waiting for you to die.  They and their families are very appreciative that your death allowed them to live a little longer and usually your family takes solace in this fact with some holding the belief that you live on in someone else.  The real truth is that their body does not want you in there and it is doing everything in it’s power to get rid of you unless that is suppressed by anti-rejection medications.  In my next article I will discuss the illegal side of harvesting and who is making money.

In the meantime, check out my book about Registered Nurse serial killer Dale, RN.
